Dropping fat for many people can be an ongoing fight which can go on for a lifetime. This alas does not need to be the case. Although there are a great number of fashionable quick fix diets that pop up all of the time, in my opinion there is only one way to successfully lose weight and much more importantly keep it off. This will include a balanced diet plan that isn't going to starve your body which in turn will not make you crave for taboo foods that a quick fix diet would do.
Eating Breakfast
This can be crucial to the success of many diets and this one is no different. This will help to combat that mid morning desire for snacking which by the way is fine if we are talking fruit but not great if it truly is a lot more likely to be biscuits with your coffee. A breakfast which includes porridge is great as it is extremely filling and also enjoyable with a little honey and a banana.
Snacking
As the well-known saying little pickers wear bigger knickers suggests, snacking is just not ideal as part of a successful diet plan. This is just not correct however as snacking is a fantastic way to keep your metabolism high and your body functioning throughout the day without becoming tired. Snacking is NOT to be cakes, cookies, sweets etc but fresh fruit, vegetables, fat free yoghurts and modest portions of mixed nuts which can be perfect for getting the healthy fats needed to balance the diet. Snack little and often to get greatest results.
Lunch
Variety is also important to maintain your motivation levels high. A diet plan that consists of exactly the same food day in day out isn't going to survive for the long term. Bear in mind this is a lifestyle change and more of a marathon than a sprint.
Rye crackers with cottage cheese and cucumber for example would be an enjoyable and handy lunch to include in your plan.
Dinner
Once again differ your meals and if feasible prepare a menu outlining what is for dinner each and every day so that you can be organised. Try wherever possible to not mix Protein such as meat, fish and eggs with large portions of Carbohydrates such as pasta, rice and potatoes. Carbohydrates will be stored by your body as sugars and will make it significantly harder for you to lose those pounds. You'll need a healthy balance of Carbohydrates however to supply you with sufficient energy to get through the day
Most Importantly
Exercise needs to be introduced if not currently within your everday life. There are various means that you can incorporate exercise into a hectic lifestyle such as walking to and from work. Home exercise equipment can be purchased from many places and this provides a great starting point for people of all fitness levels. Swiss exercise balls are perfect and will come with instructions on 100's of alternative work outs that they can be used for.
The link below is my suggestion for a site that provides great equipment at low prices.
Set Goals
Break your overall goal down into manageable chunks to help keep yourself on track. Keep off the scales and only weigh once per week at the same time each week. Keep a written record of how you do each week along with a food diary.
Be honest
Keep an accurate food diary and remember that its only you that you are cheating if you are not honest. We are all Human after all and you'll have good days and bad days. As you won't be starving your body of food this should help to keep those cravings to a minumum. Lastly dont give up, we all have bad days and if you do then just record it and get back to the plan the next day and remember Nothing tastes as good as Slim feels
